Promises for 2014
Tough 2013
If I have to review my last year, my comment for it will be something negative. This will not simply for the last year, it would be the best summary for my last three years.
After finishing chasing CCIEs for years since 2005, I finally passed three - R&S, SP, Security - from 2008 to 2010 in a row. It wasn’t easy, but it was simple for life, because I had a very clear goal for me. I confused and had no clear idea for future about life and career.
Plans for 2014
Fortunately, I have gone through all these thanks to my family supports, and also learnt some knowledge out of the network, which is time management. I will complete the work that I have procrastinated for a very long time and study new things. Here are my plans:
Learn Japanese. I plan to pass N1 in three years, so N3 is for 2014. If achieving N3 precipitates than my plan, I will go on for the next level to N2.
Write blog. 50 blog posts about technologies at least.
Learn Javascript/HTML/CSS. I’ve had an idea about making an information aggregation website for a long time.
Prepare for CCDE practice exam. I don’t want to take it in 2014, but I have to prepare for it.
Learn virtualization. The virtualization has already come, I have to catch it up.
The Ken’s View
2014 is another year for my IT life in China. I have no idea how it will be, but I will try.
